Partners

The 2024 EDAA is partnering with arts organizations across the country as well as internationally to showcase emerging digital artists’ work more than ever before! Learn more about each partner below.

SpekWork Studio

Digital artists Cat Bluemke (b. 1993, Waterloo, ON) and Jonathan Carroll (b. 1990, Antigonish, NS), known as SpekWork Studio, create interactive games, comics, immersive reality experiences, and live performances. Their work examines technology’s role in blurring the lines between work and play, exploring its dual nature as a labor-saving tool and an instrument of exploitation. They focus on the struggles of precarious workers, drawing from their experiences as digital freelancers. With ten years of international exhibitions, including Rhizome, the New Museum, and the Venice Architecture Biennale, they have received support from the Canada Council for the Arts and other organizations.
